 Founded in 1985, ACTEL spent the first 20 years or so primarily serving the US military and aerospace sectors and was prohibited from selling to the public. The company is now moving into the civilian and commercial markets with the introduction of the reusable ProASIC3 family, aimed at the automotive, industrial control and military aerospace industries.
