Product Introduction
A4988/DRV8825 can be used, pay attention to the direction when inserting, otherwise it may burn out the drive.
Jumping wires to the ON DP position indicates 16 subdivisions (4988) or 32 subdivisions (8825).
Jm connects the motor.
Jy connects 5V and 12V-24V power supplies
JG.'s ESDG corresponds to the Enable StepDirGnd drive signal output connected to it.
Product Funtion
How to use the stepper motor drive expansion board together with the A4988 module?
1.1 Wiring method:
Connect the computer and Arduino NANO development board with a USB cable.
The Arduino NANO development board is connected to a four wire stepper motor to drive the expansion board. The four wire stepper motor is powered by a DC9V power supply, and the 9VGND pin of the expansion board is connected to the positive and negative terminals of the power supply. As shown in the figure:
1.2 How to control the speed and direction of the four wire stepper motor by driving the expansion board with a stepper motor?
Control the direction and speed of the four wire stepper motor by turning the dip switch on the expansion board driven by the stepper motor. Different combinations of dip switches have different effects on the direction and speed of a four wire stepper motor.
Example:
Turn the dip switch 123 of the expansion board driven by the stepper motor to the OFF position, and then power on. At this time, it is in the fully open state, and the forward and reverse speed of the stepper motor is very fast.
Turn the dip switch 12 of the stepper motor drive expansion board to the ON DIP position, switch 3 to the OFF position, and then power on. At this time, it is in the 8-subdivision state, and the stepper motor has a very high forward and reverse speed, with one forward rotation and two reverse rotations, repeating the cycle.
Turn the dip switch 123 of the stepper motor drive expansion board to the ON DIP position, and then power on. At this time, it is in the 16 subdivision state. Rotate forward half a circle and reverse one circle. The motor speed is slow.
How to use the stepper motor drive expansion board and DRV8825 module together?
The principle and wiring method used in conjunction with the A4988 module for driving the expansion board with a stepper motor are the same. When the dip switch 123 of the expansion board driven by the stepper motor is turned to the ON DIP position and then powered on, it is in the 32 subdivision state. The forward and reverse rotation speed of the stepper motor is very slow, with half a turn in the forward direction and one turn in the reverse direction, repeating the cycle.
