Product description
Analog Devices' AD8495 Model K thermocouple amplifier is very easy to use, recording the entire process on the back of a miniature PCB. Power the board with 3-18VDC and measure the output voltage on the OUT pin. You can easily convert voltage to temperature using the following formula: Temperature = (Vout-1.25) / 0.005V. So, for example, if the voltage is 1.5VDC, the temperature is (1.5-1.25) /0.005=50°C.
Suitable for any type K thermocouple
Use AD8495ARMZ part number (hierarchical chip)
Does not apply to any other type of thermocouple other than Type K
Easy to use analog output
Temperature range of 5V power supply: -250°C to +750°C output (0 to 5VDC), as long as the thermocouple can handle the range
Temperature range of 3.3V power supply: -250°C to +410°C output (0 to 3.3VDC), as long as the thermocouple can handle this range
Pin specification
V+ : Power supply pin. This board can use 3.3V and 5V power supplies. As long as the thermocouple can handle this range, the temperature range for a 5V power supply is -250°C to +750°C output (0 to 5VDC), and the temperature for a 3.3V power supply is -250°C to +410°C input (0 to 3.3VDC).
GND: common ground pin
OUT: Output voltage pin. Read using analog inputs
RED- : Connect the red or - wire on the thermocouple to this side of the screw terminal
YELLOW+ : Connect the yellow or + wire on the thermocouple to this side of the screw terminal
