| Product Introduction This is a newly designed product utilizing the PL2303TA chip manufactured by Taiwan's Prolific Corporation. The PL2303TA provides a convenient solution for connecting RS232-like full-duplex asynchronous serial devices to any Universal Serial Bus (USB) host. Compatible with Windows XP/Vista/7/8/8.1, the PL2303TA can emulate a traditional COM port on most operating systems, allowing existing COM port-based applications to be easily ported and enabled for USB connectivity without rewriting COM port software. By leveraging USB bulk transfer mode, a large data buffer, and automatic flow control, the PL2303TA achieves higher throughput than traditional UARTs. RS232 signaling does not require a Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter (UART). Transmission rates higher than 115200 bps can be used for even higher performance. The PL2303TA's flexible baud rate generator can be programmed to generate any rate between 75 bps and 6,000 bps. The PL2303TA is designed for mobile and embedded solutions, offering a compact design that easily adapts to any connector and handheld device. With very low power consumption in operating or suspended mode, the PL2303TA is plenty powerful, providing bus-powered operation for connected devices. It supports Windows 10 and is specifically targeted at applications such as labs, product testing, and low-cost MCU communication. It has four pinouts. |
