1. Ultra quiet technology
StealthShop2 (ultra quiet technology) can drive motors to operate in extremely quiet conditions, achieving control of motor sound below 10dB decibels and significantly lower noise levels than traditional current control methods.
2. High dynamic chopper
SpreadCycle PWM chopping mode automatically configures a hysteresis attenuation function before the slow and fast attenuators. The average current reflects the normal current of the configuration, and there is no transition period at the zero crossing of the sine wave, which reduces the fluctuation of current and torque, making the current waveform closer to the sine wave. Compared with the traditional constant chopping mode, the motor operation under SpreadCycle PWM chopping mode control is much smoother and more stable.
3. Low heat generation
Compared to the TMC2100 stepper motor drive module, the TMC2208 drive module generates less heat. The heating effect of TMC2208 at around 0.8A is equivalent to that of 2100 at 0.5A, and can be interchanged with TMC2100
The TMC2208 driver step value is calculated based on 16 subdivisions, and the chip uses a differential algorithm to expand the 16 subdivisions to 256 subdivisions internally.
Tip: The step value of TMC2208 needs to be calculated according to the number of subdivisions you set. In order to achieve a quiet and smooth driving motor, the manufacturer uses interpolation algorithm internally to approximate the effect of 256 subdivisions. Don't worry about the specific algorithm used in the chip, just know how many subdivisions you have chosen and calculate the step value according to the subdivision you have set

1、 Drive current algorithm and regulation
1. Vref measures the voltage at Gnd and the midpoint of the potentiometer.
2. When measuring voltage, be sure not to connect the motor, otherwise it is easy to burn out the drive.
3. When measuring voltage, the power should be turned on, not just connected to USB power supply.
Please pay special attention to the direction and do not insert it backwards!
2、 How to use
1. When using on the printer control board, please keep the three jumper caps under the sockets
2. Pay attention to the direction, refer to the following diagram for specific instructions.
3. The heat sink is directly attached to the PCB, pay attention to the direction of the heat sink, otherwise it will cause the heat sink to be connected to each pin and cause a short circuit. Please refer to the following figure for specific instructions on how to use it.
4. The motor direction is exactly opposite to 4988 and 8825. If you want to replace 4988 directly, please adjust the firmware or motor wiring. The LeJi motherboard can directly touch the screen to set the motor direction
