Main functions:


1, An important function is to use it as a PacketSniffer, using CC2531 USB Dongle in conjunction with PacketSniffer to capture wireless data packets, which is very helpful in wireless protocol development. For example, if two CC2530s communicate with each other, but the receiving end always has no data, then the CC2531 USB Dongle is needed to analyze whether the sending end has not sent data or if the data sent is incorrect. The factory defaults to this function.


2, Another important feature is the development of USB HID and CDC devices, which can use CC2531 USB Dongle as the receiving terminal to control the computer. The source code 04-CC USB Firmware Library and Examples are provided in the materials


3. Used as CC2531 development board. For example, developing ZigBee UsB Dongle and upgradable ZigBee network nodes using TI's ZigBee protocol stack Z-Stack, and developing UsB Dongle and TV set-top box remote control using TI's ZigBee RF4CE protocol stack RemoTI stack. For detailed class specifications, please refer to the CC2531 chip manual.

(2) Capture wireless data packet demonstration


If you have two or more Zigbee devices, or communication devices supporting other protocols listed in the table above, you can directly plug the CC2531 USB Dongle into your computer and open the SmarRF Packet Sniffer software to capture data packets. For the usage of SmarRF Packet Sniffer, please refer to the accompanying SmarRF Packet Sniffer User Manual.


Now I need to use the CC2531 USB Dongle to send data packets and another CC2531 USB Dongle to capture data. The device that sends data needs to be controlled by CC debugger. Since their debugging interfaces are the same, the connection method is the same. Just connect the corresponding interface, where pin 1 is the GND pin.
