TJA1050 is the interface between Controller Area Network (CAN) protocol controllers and physical buses. TA1050 can provide different transmission performance for buses and different reception performance for CAN controllers.
TJA1050 is the successor product of PCA82C250 high-speed CA transceiver. TJA1050 is the interface between the Controller Area Network (CAN protocol controller) and the physical bus.
TJA1050 has made significant improvements in the following areas: the ideal combination of CAT and CA reduces electromagnetic radiation to a lower level.
TJA1050 was initially applied in high-speed automation applications with baud rates ranging from 60k baud to 1 M baud. And it is fully compatible with the ISO 11898 standard.
TJA1050 has a current limiting circuit to protect the output stage of the transmitter, so that short circuits caused by unexpected positive or negative power supply voltages will not damage TJA1050 (resulting in increased power consumption).
TJA1050 also has a temperature protection circuit that disconnects from the transmitter when the temperature at the connection point exceeds approximately 165 ℃. Because the transmitter consumes most of the power, the power consumption and temperature of this integrated circuit will be lower. But at this time, other functions of the IC continue to work. When pin TXD becomes high (level), the transmitter is reset from the off state. When the bus is short circuited, this temperature protection circuit is particularly needed.
