Product Description
This module is mainly used to detect volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as formaldehyde, toluene, and benzene. It is a semiconductor type sensor product widely used in ventilation equipment, ventilation fans, air filters, hoods, machinery, and other devices. It has extremely high sensitivity and stability, and can detect gases above 0.1ppm. It is suitable for detecting various organic volatile components such as formaldehyde, benzene, toluene, etc. in the air. It is compact in size, inexpensive, and widely used in various small household appliances.

Usage method
1. Method for detecting V0C gas and calculating air concentration
(1) When the module does not detect volatile organic gases in the air, the output voltage of the analog port (AOUT) is approximately 2.6-3.V.
(2) After detecting gases such as formaldehyde, the output voltage of the AOUT port will increase, and the higher the gas concentration, the higher the output voltage.
(3) Calculate the concentrations of formaldehyde and toluene in the air based on the voltage at the AOUT terminal, using the data and calculation formula in the table below. When calculating, Vout needs to subtract the initial voltage.
2. DOUT usage
The module integrates an LM311 voltage comparator to compare the voltage va of AOUT with the voltage divider Vr of the potentiometer. If Va>Vr, DOUT outputs 2.2v; if Va<vr, it outputs oV. You can set the VR value by adjusting the potentiometer, and the VR value corresponds to a concentration value Con in the table above. DOUT is connected to an LED light. When the concentration of vOC gas exceeds the specified set Con value, the light will turn high. When it is below the Con value, the light will turn off. There is already a red LED connected to DOUT on the module.
3. Use of AOUT
AOUT outputs analog voltage. The voltage increases with the increase of VOC gas concentration. The rate of change of AOUT may vary depending on the gas being detected. The concentration of formaldehyde and benzene can be detected by referring to the table above
