The EWM181-Z12SX/EWM181-Z12SP series is a small-sized ZigBee 3.0 to serial wireless module designed and produced by Yibaite in the 2.4GHz frequency band. It is a surface mount type with a maximum transmission power of 12dBm and a pin spacing of 1.27mm. It comes with built-in self-organizing network firmware and is easy to use, mainly suitable for data transmission applications.

Product Features

• Automatic networking: The coordinator automatically forms a network when powered on, and the terminals and routers automatically search and join the network.

• Network self-healing: When intermediate nodes in the network are lost, other networks automatically join or maintain the original network (isolated nodes automatically join the original network, routing nodes)

• Maintain the original network); The coordinator is lost, and there are non isolated nodes in the original network. After the coordinator is started, it can join the network again.

• Ultra low power consumption: The device can be set to low power consumption mode in terminal state, and the sleep time of the device can be changed according to the user's usage time. In low power consumption mode, the standby power consumption is less than 2uA. It can receive the messages it should receive within the user's set time even during the data storage time of the parent node.

• Automatic Resend: In unicast (on-demand) mode, when the device fails to send to the next node, it will automatically resend each message 3 times, with 1 retransmission every 6 seconds.

• Automatic routing: The module supports network routing function; Routers and coordinators carry network data routing functions, and users can perform multi hop networking.

• Encryption Protocol: The module adopts AES 128 bit encryption function, which can improve network encryption and prevent eavesdropping;

• Serial port configuration: The module has built-in serial port commands, and users can configure (view) the parameters and functions of the module by issuing serial port commands.

• Multi type data communication: supports network wide broadcasting, multicast, and on-demand (unicast) functions; Several transmission methods are also supported in broadcast and unicast modes.

• Multiple working mode selection: Supports transparent transmission mode, semi transparent transmission mode, protocol mode, and three working modes, which users can freely switch between.

• Channel change: Supports 16 channel changes (2405-2480MHz) from 11 to 26, with different channels corresponding to different frequency bands.

• Network PAN-ID Change: Users can customize the PAN-ID to join the corresponding network or automatically select the PAN-ID to join the network by switching the PAN-ID arbitrarily.

• Serial port baud rate change: Users can set the baud rate themselves, up to 230400, with a default bit of 8 and a stop bit of 1, and no checksum.

• Short address search: Users can find the corresponding short address based on the MAC address (unique, fixed) of the module that has joined the network.

• Instruction format switching: This module supports two instruction modes: AT instruction and HEX instruction, which can be easily configured and switched by users.

• Module reset: Users can reset the module through serial port commands.

• Restore factory settings: Users can use serial commands to restore the factory settings of the module.

• Network node management: The coordinator can record the nodes accessing the network, enumerate the information of the access nodes, delete unnecessary nodes, and facilitate automated management of network connected devices.
