Additionally, A4983ET offers safety mechanisms such as over-temperature protection (OTP), over-current protection (OCP), and under-voltage lockout (UVLO), ensuring that the chip is not damaged under extreme operating conditions. Its low RDS(on) MOSFET output stage reduces conduction losses and improves efficiency while reducing the need for heatsinks. To simplify design and improve ease of use, A4983ET uses simple STEP and DIR input signals to control the motor's direction of motion and step pattern.
