Product Overview FAN1112 is a 1.2V low-dropout three-terminal regulator with an output current capability of 1A. The device is optimized for low-voltage applications where transient response and minimum input voltage are critical. The current limit is fine-tuned to ensure a specified output current and a controlled short-circuit current. The on-chip thermal limit function prevents excessive junction temperatures due to a combination of overload and ambient temperature. Unlike PNP-type regulators, where up to 10% of the output current is wasted as quiescent current, FAN1112 quiescent current flows into the load, increasing efficiency. FAN1112 regulators are available in industry-standard SOT-223 and TO-252 (DPAK) power packages. |
