Product Overview
The INA169 is a high-side unipolar current shunt monitor. These devices combine a wide input common-mode voltage range, high speed, and low quiescent current in a small SOT-23 package for a wide range of applications. The input common-mode and supply voltages are independent, and the INA169 has a voltage range of 2.7V to 60V. The quiescent current is only 60UA, allowing the supply to be connected to either side of the current measurement shunt with very low errors. The device converts a differential input voltage to a current output. This current is converted back to voltage using an external load resistor that can set the gain from 1 to over 100. Although the circuit is designed for shunt measurements, it is also very useful for measurements and level shifting in creative applications.
