Product Details
1. This switch is made of metal and has electrical characteristics similar to mercury switches, but without the hazards and environmental issues associated with mercury switches. It maintains the same unidirectional conduction characteristic when shaken, making assembly and use easier and safer. 2. Operating Characteristics: When the switch is at rest, as shown in the figure, when the (ON) end is 15 degrees below horizontal, the switch is in the ON state; when the (OFF) end is 15 degrees below horizontal, the switch is in the OFF state. When subjected to external shaking forces or when set within the conduction angle range, the electrical characteristics of the conductive pin will cause a short or continuous conduction. 3. To return the electrical characteristics to the open state (OFF), the switch must be set to a stationary environment, and the (OFF) open end must be set below horizontal. 4. All materials used in this switch are environmentally friendly and ROHS compliant. 5. When the OFF end of the switch is below 15 degrees from horizontal, it is difficult to trigger conduction when shaken. 6. This switch is suitable for triggering low-current circuits and is not suitable for use as a power switch. 7. This switch is sealed for dust and water resistance. 8. This switch offers the best conduction performance and highest sensitivity among the roller switches. |
Product Description
Product Introduction - Roller switches, also known as steel ball switches and bead switches, are actually a type of vibration switch, just with a different name. They control the connection or disconnection of a circuit by rolling a ball against a guide pin. Simply put, it's like turning a light on or off: when the switch touches the metal plate inside, the light turns on, and when the switch is removed, the light turns off. Roller switches use a similar principle. The rolling motion of the small ball in the switch creates contact with the metal terminal or changes the path of light, creating a conductive or non-conductive effect. There are many different types of roller switches, including angle sensors, vibration sensors, centrifugal sensors, and photoelectric roller switches. Previously, this type of switch was primarily mercury-based, using mercury as the trigger element. However, since governments around the world have gradually banned the use of mercury, the trigger element has been replaced by the roller. |
Application Areas Ball switches have a wide range of applications, including tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS), bicycle lights, digital photo frame rotation, screen rotation, video camera flip, and anti-theft systems. They are suitable for any application requiring detection of angle changes, tilting, movement, vibration, or rotation. my country is a major consumer of ball switches, with widespread use in electronic toys, medical electronics, car audio systems, automated control systems, testing and measurement equipment, and automotive transportation. The toy and home appliance industries, the primary application areas for ball switches, have seen significant growth in my country. Due to their small size and light weight, ball switches are widely used in applications such as rotating screens in digital photo frames, mobile phone gravity sensors, anti-theft devices, and intelligent systems. However, ball switches also have their limitations, including angle restrictions, requiring a certain angle for activation. Consequently, some mercury switches are still used. Demand for ball switches has been increasing, and the market outlook is promising. my country's mass production of ball switches began during a period of rapid growth in digital consumer products, particularly mobile phones and electronic consumer products like digital photo frames. In the near future, ball switches will be a key component in connectors, suitable for various small appliances, color TVs, desktop computers, stereo systems, DVD players, office equipment, communications equipment, electronic musical instruments, and medical applications. |
