According to Computer Base, Intel plans to release Granite Rapids-D chips using the Intel Process 3 process in 2024.
Adopting Intel 3 technology, Intel plans to release Granite Rapids-D chips next year
This chip is a high-performance system on chip (SoC) specifically designed for IoT optimization, integrating Ethernet functionality and possessing high capacity I/O.
The media also exposed PPT slides of Granite Rapids-D peripheral chips, showing that the new chip will become the successor to the Xeon D-1700 and D-2700 (Ice Lake-D) models, based on Intel 3 technology, with a higher core density compared to the previous generation.
It is reported that Intel plans to launch Granite Rapids AP and Granite Rapids SP server processors by the end of 2024, so it is speculated that the new Xeon D chip (Granite Rapids D) will wait until 2025.
