Intel announced the appointment of Kevin O'Buckley as the head of its chip foundry business services division.

According to data, O'Buckley has over 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, having previously held positions at IBM, Grid, Average, and Marvell. He served as the Technical Director for IBM's 22nm and 14nm processes, and his last position before joining Intel was Senior Vice President of Marvell's Computing and Custom Engineering team.
Intel CEO Kissinger said, "Kevin brings unique expertise from the entire semiconductor industry. He has served as a senior leader and technical expert in wafer foundry and fabless companies.";
"As we continue to build the world's first system foundry for the era of artificial intelligence, Kevin will leverage Intel's unique capabilities to provide process and packaging technology through resilient and sustainable supply chains, playing a crucial role in helping customers achieve their goals."
Intel foundry services are part of Kissinger's IDM 2.0 strategy, which aims to double manufacturing and surpass TSMC and Samsung in advanced chip manufacturing by 2025.
